It is also possible to give commands to one's AI teammates using the Xbox 360, Xbox One, or PlayStation 3 headset, or a PC microphone.īishop is the main protagonist that the player controls throughout Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. There are also several new commands, for example, the ability of a teammate to throw a grenade at a specific point. In single-player, the developers claim to have vastly improved teammate AI, so that now teammates can cover each other as they advance. In addition to the ability to customize a character in multiplayer, the player can now customize Bishop, Vegas 2 's protagonist. The game, billed as "part sequel, part prequel", has events that run both before and concurrently to the story of Logan Keller and continue after where the first game concluded. Co-op players assume the role of Bishops teammate Knight. The player assumes the role of Bishop, a member of the Rainbow squad with a great deal more experience who has a deeper involvement in the story. Logan Keller, the lead character from the previous game, had been removed in favour of having the player create their own character to play through the campaign. This game is also available for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S via backward compatibility. It was released in Japan on April 24, 2008, for the Xbox 360 and on May 29, 2008, for the PlayStation 3. The Microsoft Windows version, however, was delayed until April 2008. The game was released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in March 2008. It was announced by Ubisoft on November 20, 2007. It is a first-person shooter video game and the sequel to Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas. I can elaborate on the Firewall settings another time.Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 is the seventh installment in the Rainbow Six series. Maybe it'll work for you, maybe it won't. I'm running out the door, but I thought I'd throw this in here for those trying to get online. I also made Firewall rules in Windows for R6V2, but I don't know if that is absolutely needed. I've seen people online without Punkbuster, but turning it on worked for me, so I included it. You can change this port in the Extras\Options\Multiplayer menu.)Ģ.1) Navigate to: Extras -> Options -> Multiplayer (10140 is the default port used by the Voice Chat feature. *Inbound UDP 10140 (on a firewall, you must allow inbound traffic on this port, on a home router with NAT, must forward inbound traffic on this ports to your PC) *Outbound UDP 10140 (generally don't need any configuration for this) You can change this port in the Extras\Options\Multiplayer menu.) Gave it a shot, and of course it connects. Read online to try disabling and reenabling UPnP in-game. If there was even the slightest bit of consistency, this wouldn't be so bad. Closed the game, relaunched, and tried again. Tried it again a few minutes later, and it works. Oh and for any of those wondering, there were a ton of games going on when I logged in.Īnd now that I've said something, it's not working again. I'm too tired to continue tonight and cannot think straight, so I'll pick up where I left off tomorrow. I've created custom rules in the Firewall, both inbound and outbound, but I still cannot get the game to play nice with Windows Firewall. Then I disabled my Windows Firewall and ran R6V2 (router still bypassed). I figured I'd make everything as simple as possible, so I bypassed my router and ran R6V2. Rebooted and ran CCleaner (for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles). Well I didn't get to spend nearly as much time with this tonight as I was hoping I would.
